INSIDE project partners held their celebration of the European Week of Sports (EWOS) during the last days of September, as a way to highlight and celebrate inclusion of persons with disabilities through sports, games and physical activities.

Health Life Academy Association has organized an inclusive sport event for children and persons with ID in Čakovec. The event was carried out during 2 days in which participant organisations from all over Croatia had organized inclusive football activities.

During the EWOS in Greece, which was organized by Margarita VTC and Organisation Earth, 25 persons with intellectual disability, along with their trainers and 4 experts for basketball from Seek And Skill company, trained and played at the Penteli Basketball Hall

The US Acli INSIDE event for the European Week of Sport was held in Rome, consisting of a full day of sport and celebration for the inauguration of the renovated athletics track, which involved athletes with and without disability, participants in the INSIDE pilot tests, with their families, sports educators and authorities from the sporting and institutional world in the area. A total of around 300 persons participated.

In Lousã, diversity in sports was celebrated with a variety of inclusive activities during the last week of September. From training rugby with the local team, to practicing football with Lousanense and going to swimming practice in the municipality, the week ended with a dancing class organized by ARCIL to the community, in a sunny morning of October 1st.

Barça Foundation organized a very special friendly match on 25th of September. This match was between Barça Genuine Fundation team and Nastic Genuine team in Barça Sport City. Nastic Genuine team is the team that promoted the first league for people with intellectual disabilities: Genuine League Santander, in which Barça Foundation team competes with 24 players with different disabilities. Actions like this confirm the power and stimulus that sport represents for people with intellectual disabilities to keep growing, learning and improving.
