Multiplier sport event – Spain
As part of the multiplier event for project INSIDE, Barça Foundation organized 2 separate events:
1. Valls- Friendly match and lunch. Ability Workshop. With the slogan ‘I am capable’ and with the aim of making more visible INSIDE project, Barça Foundation organised a friendly soccer match between two teams of people with intellectual disabilities: Valls Football Club and Barça Genuine team, on Saturday 26th at 11:30 am on the soccer field of El Villar municipal sports center (Valls, Tarragona).
Firstly, there was an institutional welcome and the presentation of the teams and then the match began to be played. At the end, there was “a castellera performance” and, later, a dance mob was carried out by Infinity Danza, entitled “Dance for the capabilities”. At the end of the journey, the 30 members of Barça Foundation team, Valls Football Club team, staff and family ate together, and enjoyed meeting new people.

2. Basket match- Hockey, Genuine 3r December. Disability Day On 3rd December, Barça Foundation celebrated the Day of People with Disabilities, bringing together for the first time in history their teams formed by men and women with disabilities, physical, intellectual and / or sensory. For that reason, the Juan Carlos Navarro pavilion in Sant Feliu de Llobregat was the scene of an emotional meeting before the wheelchair basketball match, corresponding to the sixth day of the First Division, between UNAS Barça and Sureste Grande Canaria. The athletes and coaching staff of the Barça wheelchair basketball team welcomed and exchanged experiences with the Barça Hockey Plus players and the Barça Foundation players.
In that journey, participated a total of 60 people belonging to:
UNES: is a wheelchair basketball team founded in 1967 under the name of UNES Unión Deportiva and since 2001 is part of the amateur sports sections of Futbol Club Barcelona. It plays in the First National Division at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes Juan Carlos Navarro in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
Hockey +: Since November 2006, FC Barcelona promoted the practice of field field hockey in the group of people with intellectual disabilities, with the collaboration of the special education schools Paideia and Moragas. Today, FC Barcelona Barcelonés Stick Hockey is part of the Club’s field field hockey structure, one of the amateur sections, has two mixed teams, plays its matches at the Municipal Pau Negro de Montjuic and participates in the Hockey Plus League organized by the Catalan Hockey Federation.
